The best treatment for running injuries

Unfortunately the gyms are still closed and with such nice weather many of you have been exercising outdoors. We are currently seeing a lot of people with running injuries.

  • You’ve started a couch to 5k programme?
  • You normally go to the gym but as they are closed you started running along the Thames…
  • You increased your normal running routine from 3 times a week to 5 or 6?

But…

  • Now your knee is sore walking down stairs or down hill…
  • Your knee or your ankle is stiff and sore first thing in the morning…
  • You can’t train at your desired level or have had to stop running all together?

We are hearing this story everyday at the moment so I though I would share some videos about the 6 most common running injuries you may be suffering from and what you can do about them…

The most common running injury is patello-femoral pain or pain around the kneecap.

The next most common running injury to affect the knee is IT band syndrome, pain on the outer side of the knee.

Stay tuned as I will share some more running injury videos in the next few weeks…
