John successfully completed his degree in Physiotherapy BSc (Hons) at St. George’s University of London in 2008. He is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
After graduation, John completed his rotations in the NHS and in high level sports as physiotherapist for Gillingham FC Youth Team and Maidstone Rugby FC, all providing a broad holistic scope of practise before specialising in musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
John has a special interest in running and gym related injuries which stem from a background in running at 800m and 1500m at club level for Belgrave Harriers and resistance training from an early age. He personally uses a mix of running, cycling, resistance training and Pilates for his own healthy wellbeing, which flows into his treatment plans. He believes that having a broad range of activities helps to keep overuse injuries at bay. John has a passion for promoting exercise and lifestyle changes for the older populations and believes it is never too late to improve one’s longevity.
As a doting father, John understands that time is a precious commodity, so he likes to ensure the plans for his client’s rehab journey are as efficient as possible to fit in with life’s busy schedules – quality over quantity can be the key to success.
John is also skilled in using other treatment modalities to get great results – including sports and deep tissue massage, shockwave therapy and joint mobilisations. He is a trained APPI level 2 Pilates instructor and uses strength and conditioning principles from his training as a personal trainer before qualifying as a physiotherapist.
